Update Notes

17 July 2005: Implemented all the remaining Gas Properties functionality - recombined/wet gas properties, compressibility and density.

18 June 2005: Can now see the database, will start working on reading and writing.

09 June 2005: Added a SSV leak rate calculator under "Utilities". Still working intellectual property rights issues. Put some time into the database functionality, but still a ways to go there.

30 Jan 2005: We are creating a web based program with the same functionality and "Look-and-Feel" as OA Tools. We've made quite a bit of progress - the oil and gas properties and the Gas Volumetric and Water Drive calculation panels work fine. They exactly duplicate the answers provided by OA Tools Classic. Also, there are several handy utilites such as a simple tubing movement simulator and API gravity converter that are functional.

There is still quite a bit of work, here's our current checklist:

  • Resolve intellectual property rights issues,
  • Get the Volumetrics Calculator, Log Analysis and Oil Calculators working,
  • Decide on the final User Interface. It will probably open up to a list of all your projects. You can select an existing project or start a new one.
  • Build a Logon panel and other administrative-type stuff.
Since this done in spare time (ha!), we don't have a time estimate on when it will be functional. Since I live in Alaska, a lot more tends to get done during the winter months.

Please let us know about any bugs and feature requests ideas.
